Fast-5 Diet Review

I didn’t know anything about intermittent fasting until I read the free ebook about Fast-5. It is basically fasting 19 hours a day and eating for 5 hours a day. They suggest eating from 5 PM – 10 PM. It goes on to describe why this is beneficial. That is because there is a big difference between Somatic Hunger and Limbic Hunger.
Limbic Hunger
This is when you aren’t super hungry, but you eat a little bit of something. Let’s say a cookie… so you eat this cookie and suddenly you get this urge to not just eat one cookie and be done, but now you want to eat more and more. Your appetite gets turned on and you cannot eat just a little bit, you want a lot.
Somatic Hunger
This is the real hunger that you feel. It is actually not an unpleasant sensation at all. You just feel little urge to eat and satisfy your body, but you DON’T feel ravenous. I have actually started to enjoy this feeling because it helps me to anticipate my eating window that much more.
Personally I find it is easier to eat nothing at all than to try and restrict myself to a really small portion. So the Fast-5 diet really suits me well. I like that during my eating window I can eat as much as I want of what ever I am craving. I don’t have to feel deprived of anything.
