Kapha Imbalance on a Pitta Body Type

I have been able to narrow down to exactly what is going on with my Doshas (Ayurvedic term). Through muscle testing I determined that my body type is actually Pitta, but I have an imbalance of Kapha. Therefore I need to be on a Kapha balancing diet at this time to bring it back into balance.
I am not 100% sure what it all means yet and how it all comes together, but I find it fascinating that my own body would tell me what I am through muscle testing. After the muscle testing I confirmed it by actually reading the descriptions and found they matched me very well.
So how is it possible to have one Dosha as a body type and an imbalance of another? I am not sure yet, but I am going to find out. Before yesterday I had never even heard of these terms.
What are the Signs of a Kapha Imbalance?
Any body type can get an imbalance of Kapha, here are some symptoms to help you see if you are suffering from this:
Brain fog – not being able to concentrate very well
Grogginess – tired much?
Apathetic – losing motivation and desire to get out there and do something.
Depressed – not sure why you are down in the dump and don’t really know why?
Procrastination – are you putting things off until the last minute because you don’t feel like doing it?
Sleeping too much – do you just feel like going to sleep throughout the day?
Do you have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning?
Are you tired throughout the day lacking the energy that you should have?
Are you over weight or do you suffer from obesity? This is a big sign of too much Kapha.
Diabetes – usually people who suffer from diabetes are also imbalanced in Kapha
Pale – do you have a hard time holding on to a tan?
Water retention/Bloating – carrying a little too much water weight?
Sluggish digestion – does food sit in your gut for way too long?
High cholesterol – need to lower your cholesterol, but having a hard time doing so?
Of course, you don’t have to have every single thing on the list, but if you have 3 or more you probably have a Kapha imbalance. You may want to confirm it with muscle testing.
